How to Create a Static Home Page in Blogger

1. Create your own static homepage

When finished, click Print. The window will return to the main "All Pages" menu and you will see the new "Welcome" page you created. Copy the URL of the "Welcome" page later. To do this, right-click the view link and select Copy link location from the menu.



2. Set the default homepage to Fixed

Once the Welcome Page is open, you will need to change the default Blogger homepage . This includes redirecting from the site you created to the static page that people first see when they visit your site.

To do this, go to the Blogger Editor main menu, click Settings on the left side of the screen and select Search Settings. In the "Errors & Redirects" section, next to the "Edit" link you will see the "Private redirection" option. To open another window, click the "Edit" link and you will see two fields labeled "K" (next to your blog URL) and "Where".


Simply type "/" forward slash in the "Notes" field. Paste the previously copied URL into the "B" field and add the last part of the URL to the "Welcome" page. For example, the URL of our blog page is static-home-page.blogspot.com/welcome.html, so we simply remove "http://static-home-page.blogspot.com" and add it. In the ":" field "/p/welcome.html". "/ p" points to a static page.


Then check the box next to "Permanent", click the "Save" text link and click the "Save Changes" button. This will redirect your site's original URL to the new static homepage. Sign in to see if your blog works in another browser.


3. Create tabs for your site
